Topic: iRedMail-0.8.4 has been released.

Dear all,

iRedMail-0.8.4 has been released. This is a bug fix release.

New features
  • It now works on openSUSE-12.3 (Dartmouth).

  • Supports the OpenBSD built-in LDAP daemon: ldapd(8). Note: Please do check addition notes about ldapd(8) below if you want to use it in production.

  • Enable Dovecot Master User by default, but no pre-defined account. Refer to Dovecot wiki for more details about Master User: http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Authentication/MasterUsers

  • [SQL] New SQL columns in `vmail.mailbox` for per-user restriction, used by iRedAPD-1.4.0: allowedsenders, rejectedsenders, allowedrecipients, rejectedrecipients.

It also fixes some issues:
  • Misses alias user 'virusalert' in Postfix (/etc/postfix/aliases) for Amavisd. Thanks Frankstar <frankstar.at _at_ gmail.com> for the report.

  • [ldap] Cannot mail to external members of mailing list if we use alias domain as recipient (user@[alias_domain). Thanks Soundar Rajan <soundarajan _at_ take10.in> for the report.

  • [ldap] Cannot handle alias domain in Postfix per-user bcc. Thanks Ward De Backer <wdb _at_ stabe.be> for the report.

  • [ldap] Not enable OpenLDAP TLS/SSL support on OpenBSD by default.

Package update:
Addition notes about the OpenBSD built-in LDAP server: ldapd(8)
  • Currently, ldapd(8) doesn't support replication like OpenLDAP replication, that means you cannot setup master-slave LDAP server cluster with ldapd(8).

Please reply below to share your feature requests, feedback. smile

Re: iRedMail-0.8.4 has been released.

Hi! Thanks for job!!!
In upgrade on FreeBSD change this for correct configuration because simbolic links dont change permissions and owners.

# chown -R iredapd:iredapd /opt/iredapd
# chmod -R 0700 /opt/iredapd

to

# chown -R iredapd:iredapd /opt/iRedAPD-1.4.0/
# chmod -R 0700 /opt/iRedAPD-1.4.0/

Best regards,
Gondim

Re: iRedMail-0.8.4 has been released.

JUST FYI: There is a zero-day exploit in roundcube discovered today that makes possible to get all users data.

http://trac.roundcube.net/ticket/1489021

There is already commit to fix it.

Hi mastini,

Thanks for your remind.

I re-packed iRedMail-0.8.4 with roundcubemail-0.8.6, so if you're going to setup a new iRedMail server, you don't need to worry about this vulnerability. https://bitbucket.org/zhb/iredmail/downloads

Yes, they recommend the latest stable release 0.9.0 which requires PHP-5.3+. Old releases are still available on SF.net:

Re: iRedMail-0.8.4 has been released.

hi,

I upgrade from iRedAdmin-0.1.9 to iRedAdmin-0.2.1. After the upgrade process i can login, to iRedAdmin0.2.1, but when i try to add a new email address to a domain i get a "internal server error" message. Where I made a mistake?

Re: iRedMail-0.8.4 has been released.

Hi @gapcsi,

Please upgrade your iRedMail to the latest stable release (0.8.4) first, then upgrade iRedAdmin. I believe you missed some SQL/LDAP structure update.

Re: iRedMail-0.8.4 has been released.

Hi ZhangHuangbin

Typo error in iRedAPD Upgrade 1.4.0 to 1.4.1 tutorial.

Wrong Line: # ln -s iRedAPD-1.4.0 iredapd

Must Be: # ln -s iRedAPD-1.4.1 iredapd

Best regards.
