Topic: Preferred language in user profile

Hello,

After creating a new user, 'Preferred language' parameter in user profile is set to 'English(us)' by default.
Ignoring 'lang' variable from settings.ini.  Is this intended behaviour ?

settings.ini
_________________________
# Default language.
lang = ru_RU

Re: Preferred language in user profile

Hi @user2000,

I improved iRedAdmin-Pro to allow domain admin to set a default language for newly created mail user, is it better? or over-designed?

*) While creating new mail domain, you can set a default language for newly created mail users. For example, ru_RU.
*) While creating mail user, it will show you list of available languages and set to 'ru_RU' as it's default language for this domain. But you can change it.

Note: Addition SQL column is required.

$ mysql -uroot -p
mysql> USE vmail;
mysql> ALTER TABLE domain ADD COLUMN defaultlanguage VARCHAR(5) NOT NULL DEFAULT 'en_US';
