Hi

I installed iRedmail successfully on debian squeeze but when I try to open http://<myhostname>/mail it gets redirected to httpS://<myhostname>/mail and I get a message that the server refused the connection.
I also get the server refused the connection message when trying to connect to httpS://<myhostname>/iredadmin.

Please advise

HTTPS is through port 443, is there any network router/firewall between your laptop and iRedMail server which restricts HTTPS access?

As far as I know there is no firewall blocking port 443. I have a server installation without desktop installed so I cannot test local on the machine. I tried to access the website from the local LAN.

I also created a symlink to /usr/share/apache2/roundcubemail in /var/www but then i get a message that main.inc.php and db.inc.php are missing.

Re: iredAdmin connection refused

Please check Apache log files (/var/log/apache2/*) to see why it happened.

Personally, if there's no firewall/router between your browser and your server, the easiest way to solve this issue is reinstalling iRedMail. Please monitor the terminal output while installing, if there's any error message, please paste them here to help troubleshoot.

Do I have to do a complete re-install? If so how can I do that?

Re-install your OS with minimal packages, then install iRedMail by following our installation guide STRICTLY:
