Topic: Move users in LDAP

Hi,

I have installed iRedMail 0.8.1 LDAP on CentOS 6.x

I want to move user in LDAP.
Acutally user are located in ou=Users, domainName=test.tld,o=domains,dc=test,dc=tld i want to move it in ou=Users,dc=test,dc=tld and create LDAP from users in ou=Users,dc=test,dc=tld to ou=Users, domainName=test.tld,o=domains,dc=test,dc=tld

i have tested and it doesn't work.

is it possible? if yes, how?

Thanks you

Re: Move users in LDAP

It's possible. But, you have to adjust settings in Postfix/Dovecot/Roundcube/etc to use your new LDAP structure.

The critical issue is, iRedAdmin doesn't work with this LDAP structure, that means you have to manage mail accounts with phpLDAPadmin.

Just curious, may i know why you want to move it?
In my opinion, LDAP structure is not that important, what you need to do is defining your LDAP search filters. smile

Re: Move users in LDAP

I have found what i'm looking for.

I have moved my user and i have created alias at the older place (standard place for iredmail) and i have set deref = always in dovecot-ldap.conf.
It's work very good.

I will try on postfix later.
