Topic: Choosing and Backup/Restore consideration

My first question about choosing the right version is very strange.

Why choose PGSql or MySQL or LDAP version?

LDAP perhaps if you need integrate in an LDAP environment, for example Microsoft AD?

The other versions? For who had familiarity wich this environments?

Backup and Restore... Like ad any sysadmin, the backup is my primary focus. So wich backup strategy is correct to do?

There is a "backup/restore" integrate tool, or wich we need to backup manually?

Manual Example: Mysqldump for MYSQL database, config files located in ????, next????

Or what else?

It depends on your system administration skills. Choose the one you're familiar with.

Re: Choosing and Backup/Restore consideration

Really I don't understand. Scenario: iRedMail with MySQL Backend to migrate in a new server.

So in the new server I do a fresh install and next?

Import from old server the vmail, roundcube, and policyd database and copy all maildir files with correct permissions.

Is that really all needs to migrate to a new server?
