Topic: Install issue

Hi,

Just boght the admin to support you guys, however now I have issues in the instalation of the webmail part.
I try to install iRedMail-0.8.1 MySql on RHEL 6 - 64bit

First at all I had previously installed the version that was available with RH. However this was 0.7.x so i like to have the latest.

So I run the sh iRedMail.sh and all seems fine.

However when it compiles I get a error as below

Is there any info you could provide to resolve this. Also I have 2 more questions.
1. the devault mail directorry is /var/vmail/ by default. If this only used by iRedMail or does it ask for something that shouild exist already from postFix?
2. Should I select installing the admin when I run 'sh iRedMail.sh'? I ask because I boght the MySql Pro version that is a seperate file.

This is used by iRedMail, and iRedMail will create it for you if it doesn't exist.

It's a good idea to choose to install the admin (open source edition) during installing iRedMail. After installation completed, you can upgrade to Pro edition with several steps by following migration tutorial:

Hi,

Thank you for the fast responce.
I am not really sure on how to disable all third-party yum repositories. Also I am a bit worried because this is a managed server with RackSpace and they tell me if I upgrate Postfix, mysql etc to different versions then I losse support for these packages which would not be good for me. Will it overwrite any of my supported packages?
This is not a empty install, it has the RackSpace.com kickstart on and should not upgrade key packages such as MySql

Hi,
I tried everything but could not get this going so i installed roundcubemail instead because this could be installed simply with yum.
of course now I have issues because the install of the admin does not work anymore because all these things that the mail install was suppose to create are not there like the user. I did reate a user and followed the install guidance and actually got no error but if I access the ip it gives an error.

I am migration from a old to a new server and as part of this do the upgrate from SquirleMail to this but for 2 days I work on this for hours and can not get it done. Any assistance would be highly appriciated.

As mentioned in my previous post, please disable all third-party yum repositories before installing iRedMail. In your case, you must disable repo "epel".

Hi,

I did disaple "epel" but still doen not work.

Also I have to ask other questions.
I did install RounCubeMail is this different from RedMail-0.8.1
roundcubemail 0.7.2-2.el6 is working fine

Second I managed to install
iRedAdmin-Pro-MySQL-1.4.0 and it seems running now.
At least i come to the admin.

So should I still do the redmail install at all?
Also since I did not do the iredmail install I do not have a /var/vmail or vmail mysql db. So I created them but the vmail mysql database does not have any tables because i do not find any .sql file for creating them.

Last question is that after I now instaled the iRedAdmin-Pro-MySQL-1.4.0 what is the default username and password?

In any case here is what I get when i try to install iRegMail aboyt disabling the repro.

Hi,

So I was having several issues logging into the admin because all vmail tables were missing since they were not created. So I found 4 in the wiki and created them

I now have 4 tables in vmail
admin    
log    
vacation    
vacation_notification

but now I do not get vmail table does not exist but instead get the "Error: Username or password is incorrect." error.
What is the devailt login credentials?

Please disable ALL third-party yum repositories, includes this one:

ius     IUS Community Packages for Enterprise Linux 6 - x86_64

If you're running Red Hat Enterprise Linux, the official repositories configured by Red Hat Network is required. If you don't have Red Hat service subscription, please use CentOS or Scientific Linux instead.
