====
Emails sent from GMAIL arrive after two days and in GMAIL i can see this log

"THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE.

Delivery to the following recipient has been delayed:

     stefano@f2n.eu

Message will be retried for 2 more day(s)

Technical details of temporary failure:
Unspecified Error (SENT_SECOND_EHLO): Connection reset by peer"

this only happens with Gmail, i tried from some other provider, some in italy and yahoo.com too and i can receive normally.
should i setup the logs to record more details?
anyone can help me?

Tia Stefano

Looks like a network issue.

Looks like a network issue.

why do a network issue should resolve by itself without any intervention after a couple of day?
emails sent from google mail, and only from their servers, to my mail server takes two days to be delivered...

Re: great delay receiving emails from google mail

- It may be a temporary issue on a network node between your server and Google's.
- Do you have the latest OpenSSL and Postfix installed? There may be some issues caused by the old OpenSSL.

sorry for being late in the answer, i'm quite busy at the moment
i dont think it's an issue on a network node, i have another mailserver running mdaemon in the same subnet, and the mails from google doesn't suffer that problem. More probably errors are caused by old OpenSSL but it's quite difficult to have the latest software installed in ubuntu, i think im going to reinstall from scratch using scientific linux.
thank you for your support, i'm trying to find an alternative to mdaemon among open source software, but it's not so easy....

Is it possible for you to perform package update with "apt-get upgrade"?
