Hi,

My server logs does not show External Group E-mail IDs properly as it adds some encrypted texts after the E-mail ID. for example:

tl-india@mydomain.com Group E-mail ID shows:

Jun 25 15:42:12 mail1 postfix/qmgr[2758]: 83B422C0EAF: from=<tl-india+bncCIqZjJzRARC_8aH_BBoEunKroA@mydomain.com>, size=57770, nrcpt=2 (queue active)
Jun 25 15:42:16 mail1 postfix/qmgr[2758]: 5E0F42C0ECA: from=<tl-india+bncCIqZjJzRARC_8aH_BBoEunKroA@mydomain.com>, size=58270, nrcpt=1 (queue active)

Is there a way to show up exact Group E-mail IDs?

The +, is default recipient delimiter in Postfix.
The text, bncCIqZjJzRARC_8aH_BBoEunKroA, is an email address extension. It's still a valid email address, and not "encrypted".

Re: External Group E-mail ID not showing properly

Hi Zhang,

Actually I use sawmill software for reporting purpose of maillog for the Management people but these group IDs are scrambled due to which reports are not accurate at management end.

Is there any way by which we can get exact Group IDs?

Re: External Group E-mail ID not showing properly

Just remove '+' and characters after it. For example: tl-india+bncCIqZjJzRARC_8aH_BBoEunKroA@mydomain.com -> tl-india@mydomain.com.

Did you check why the email address be rewritten to this format?
