Re: how to upgrade postfix version

The only way to update packages is updating them via yum/apt/ports tree.

- Which Linux/BSD distribution do you use?
- Which version of Postfix do you plan to use?

Did you successfully update to 2.8? Does the issue happen again?

Re: how to upgrade postfix version

hi Zhang,

Actually I do not know how to upgrade it to 2.8 as my current version is:

mail_version = 2.5.9

Is there any document available for the upgrade in iRedMail? or actually I am afraid on doing upgrade from Googling as I might loose my running server.

Re: how to upgrade postfix version

CentOS and RHEL doesn't provide RPMs for Postfix-2.8 or newer releases, but you can find third-party binary package here:
http://ftp.wl0.org/official/

WARNING: It's recommended to install this third-party Postfix RPMs on a testing server first, e.g. a VMware virtual machine.
