Hi all,

I'm a (very) amateur programmer and free software enthusiast who's trying to learn the ropes of iRedMail, which I have installed successfully but not yet managed to use; I'm not entirely clear on how one sends email with iRedMail. Could someone supply me with a blow-by-blow of how to do so? Also, how does one change or add aliases to their domain?  I attempted to follow the directions in the .tips file to do so, but for some reason the file became read-only every time I edited it, despite my chmod-ing the file repeatedly, and chmod-ing and editing the aliases.db file simultaneously.

I'm sure these questions make me sound foolish, but I promise I'm just inexperienced!

Thanks!

Re: General how-to question

Dear odinsothereye,

As mentioned in iRedMail installation guides, there're several web applications available after installation: access webmail and other web applications

- To send email, please login to webmail.
- To manage mail accounts, please login to iRedAdmin.
