Hi Zhang

Im trying to send to an email from a clients place who is on a different ISP to an address on our mail server from a type of webform
its pretty simple
it sends an alarm to me via email
the smtp server its coming from over here is "smtp.vodafone.co.nz"
however I get in my outlook folder a "Mail Delivery System" failure notice
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 5.1.0 Unknown address error 553-'5.7.1 <example@mycompany>: Sender address rejected: not logged in (delivery attempts: 0)
it actually has a copy of the info that is sent by the form too (so Im sort of getting the message )

Im presuming that a lot of mail may not be getting to me because of this  ?
Any Thoughts
Thanks
Glen

iRedMail requires SMTP auth for sending out email by default.

This is the same as someone in the world sending me an email Zhang
its not coming from my mail server out
its someone sending me an email to one of my email aliases

Joe_Bloggs----->thier ISP------->MY ISP------->My Mail Server------->to my email address

update
the device that is sending me an alarm email doesnt have a "from" address
so it seems that the mail server is thinking its from the address the device is sending to IE
I get an email in my inbox address myalarm@mycompany.com but it says its also from myalarm@mycompany.com
as My alarms dont have an option to put a from address this seems to be a problem ?
Any thoughts on how to get around this ?
Cheers
