Topic: Cannot download mail to evolution using pop3s

Trying to use pop3s on linux evolution to access mail. Sending mail using ssmtp works fine. Evolution is setup with Server Type: POP, TLS encryption and Password authorization. Evolution regularly checks mail but doesn't receive anything. There are no errors logged. It is like the mail is just not there but when I use Round-Cube web access, I can see the mail.

Is there something in the configs that must be set to enable pop3s access in addition or in place of web access?

Thanks,

Perazim

Re: Cannot download mail to evolution using pop3s

1) Please make sure you have correct POP3 server address in Evolution.
2) Turn on debug mode in Dovecot, and check Dovecot log files to see which maildir path it accesses.

Server address was correct and I turned debug on.

FYI: Evolution version 2.32.3

setup:

Receiving Email/Security/SSL encryption

Sending Email/Security/TLS encryption

This works. Setting both to SSL or both to TLS causes either receiving or sending to fail.

Which maildir path does it try to access?
