Just trying to get work global address book in Thunderbird 3.16 or/and 8.0 (latest version).

Thunderbird address book -> Offline Tab shows "Replication succeeded", but where is no any email addresses - just empty.

I've tried to configure global to one domain or multi domain - the same result.

Example (single domain): domain: test.com
Base DN: domainName=test.com,o=domains,dc=test,dc=com
Bind DN: mail=test@test.com,ou=Users,domainName=test.com,o=domains,dc=test,dc=com

Example (multi domain):
Base DN: o=domains,dc=test,dc=com
Bind DN:  cn=vmailadmin,dc=test,dc=com

P.S. Roundcube webmail show global email normally as aspected.

Re: Global address book in Thunderbird

Please try composing a new email, type part of recipient email address which is stored in LDAP server in "To:" field, does Thunderbird auto complete this recipient?

Re: Global address book in Thunderbird

Does it work this way:

- Compose a new email in Thunderbird
- In compose window, select menu: View -> Contacts Sidebar
- In Contacts Sidebar, choose the iRedMail LDAP address book
- Try to type part of recipient email address in "Search For:" field, Thunderbird will show you contacts name in below window.

Re: Global address book in Thunderbird

Yes, if I'm using "Search for:" field in Thunderbird, it shows me the contacts from LDAP.
But I also need to have all contacts in Address book from LDAP,  it shows empty now:(

I've found the same problem is here http://www.iredmail.org/forum/topic2388 … -3111.html

Re: Global address book in Thunderbird

this is a thunderbird-bug - not an openldap issue:

ldap-address-book gets synchronized but you do not see any entries in the overview

but it is there when you start typing in an address of a ldap-reciepient...so it's there but you have to start searching by typing in some letters

plz consult the mozilla-people for further infos and bug-cleanup as this is a third-party application developed by them wink
