Topic: roundcube upgrade error

After upgrading to newest roundcube (0.5.3) under freebsd 8.2, I get:

CONFIGURATION ERROR

main.inc.php was not found.
db.inc.php was not found.
Please read the INSTALL instructions!

Do I have to run through the http / php installer for roundcube to get it working? Can I not just copy over the config files with the old ones? (I used ports to do the update. I followed these instructions as well: http://www.iredmail.org/wiki/index.php? … 7.1-0.7.2)

Also, does anyone know the correct permissions for the roundcube directories?

Re: roundcube upgrade error

You can copy old configuration files to 0.5.3 directly. But it's highly recommended to copy from sample config files in 0.5.3, then sync settings from old version.

For file permission, reference (Search 'chown' and 'chmod'):

Re: roundcube upgrade error

Thank you for the tip.

I am going to backtrack though. Nice thing about doing this in a jail is I can archive and restore the various stages. I was still having a problem before I tried to update. I'll start a new thread on the older version with that problem.
