			<description><![CDATA[<p>hello again ;-)</p><p>ok ... i figured it out by myself.</p><p>STORE_PASSWORD_IN_PLAIN = True</p><p>does actually work but you need to start a new session for the settings to take effect.<br />once i start a new session passwords are stored in plain text.</p><p>thanks again for such a nice piece of software for managing dbmail</p><p>greetings<br />becki</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>hello there ;-)</p><p>first of all thanks a lot for dbmailadmin software which i use to administrate my dbmail 3.0.2 mail server.</p><p>so far everything works perfectly but i&#039;m looking for a way to store the passwords in plain text instead of md5</p><p>i know it is not recommended to do so but pam_mysql, which i use to do the smtp auth, can only check the passwords in plain text.</p><p>so i;m looking for a way to tell dbmailadmin to store the passwords for dbmail users in plain text instead of md5</p><p>in /libs/settings.py i found a few options</p><p>STORE_PASSWORD_IN_PLAIN = False<br />SQL_DEFAULT_PASSWD_SCHEME = &#039;MD5&#039;</p><p>but if i do change them to </p><p>STORE_PASSWORD_IN_PLAIN = True<br />SQL_DEFAULT_PASSWD_SCHEME = &#039;PLAIN&#039;</p><p>it doesn&#039;t change a thing and passwords are still stored as MD5 hash</p><p>any advice on how to store passwords for dbmail users in plain text would be really awesome ;-)</p><p>thanks a million</p><p>greetings<br />becki</p><br /><br /><p>==== Required information ====<br />- iRedMail version: <br />- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL): <br />- Linux/BSD distribution name and version: <br />- Related log if you&#039;re reporting an issue: <br />====</p>]]></description>
