We recently moved our mail server to iredmail, however, i am not being able to get done with encrypted password on thrunderbird.

imap-login: Info: Disconnected (auth failed, 1 attempts): user=, method=CRAM-MD5, rip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xx, lip=xxx.xxx.xx.xx, TLS

while my search, i saw auth mechanism needed to be set on /etc/dovecot/dovecot.conf to be PLAIN LOGIN CRAM-MD5 DIGEST-MD5 to accept those but i still seem to get those error ,

Is there any solution for this, any suggestion?

I'm on the last leg of live deployment. So far I've been able to rebadge the main iRedadmin-pro header and have redirected all links to our support website, however this is me blindly hacking and poking through various HTML file to find the HTML code I'm looking for... And I have no HTML skills at all, I'm just fortunate to be able to read code/scripting.

====We have installed and been using iRedmail successfully for about 2 weeks.

Our web software (that we built) uses the iRedMail server to send and receive email by SMTP. Yesterday our application server started failing to connect to iRedmail - only for the collection of mail, symptoms are:

- server can continue to send email through iRedMail
- server just fails to collect the email
- our server is set to make the connection to iRedMail every 30 seconds
- it was working successfully for 2 weeks, no other changes on the server
- if we simply reset the password it successfully re-establishes the connection and collects the mail again

Does iRedMail have some type of "lock-out" due to our server trying to connect every 30 seconds?
Is there some log we can review to see why it might be stopping the connection?
Is there a config setting we can change to stop this behaviour?

I found an older post talking about this and I made the suggested changes:

1.> added all of my domains to the @local_domains_maps list.
2.> made the one default dkim_key line look like this:
dkim_key(".", "dkim", "/var/lib/dkim/.pem");

My server is still only singing emails with DKIM for the primary local domain. What else am I missing to make DKIM work as a catch-all?

I just set up iRedMail on my new Server and thought everything was working well when I tried to send a mail to the server.
Here is what I tested:

Since I can login with the user in roundcube and send mails on my server I know, the user exists. Unfortunately I couldn't figure out why reveicing mails from an external source doesn't work.

As changing the Virtual Domain Name didn't solved the issue in the following thread, I got a question. Is it possible to change the Virtual Domain Name instead of changing the Hostname, to make it different ? Will that be difficult ? I read somewhere that the value of the Virtual Domain Name is stored somewhere in the database.
