Can we have OpenLDAP on separate server and remaining iRedMail on another server, i read on some of the posts, it is possible.

My query is

Can we have all the features of iredmail, if no what we will miss ?
Also will there be any impact on iredadmin or iredadmin pro in this scenario, if yes what could be the impact on iredadmin and on pro.
