If you want to perform a re-install, please remove all mail related packages which installed by iRedMail, and remove remaining configuration files, include MYSQL databases, LDAP data, all of them.

I've managed to set up iredmail before on this ubuntu hardy server using ldap but I messed up a bit so I did a reinstall, however I ran into problems.... I've purged the packages but didn't help really, I've tried setting up with a mysql backend but the error its displaying
"DATABASE ERROR: CONNECTION FAILED!

Unable to connect to the database!
Please contact your server-administrator."

So I'm after doing a reinstall or uninstall to help solve my problems, great work when it was working it worked a treat...very nice work indeed.
